I would never have believed it but at seventy-six years old I am beginning to speak Englis. Tanks Du
I am improving my english at sixty three years old. There is always age to learn.
Awesome! I'm helping my mother with Esperanto, she's at her sixties too. She's just started, I'm at an intermediate level, so we are mostly learning together :D
The language is a lot easier, obviously (and she speaks English and has some idea of French, so that helps a lot), but it takes effort nonetheless, and I'm really happy with how fast she's progressing.
Hi! I'm a native english speaker exploring Duolingo, and I just want to say, what you said is almost perfect english!
I congratulate you on your mother, but she is eleven years younger than me, I also know French a little and I speak Catalan as well as Spanish and a little Italian. So we encourage and we may be pioneers by age
Oh yes, I misread your age when I wrote that.
We are both trying to convince her "significant other" to learn with us, he's in his seventies, but so far no luck.
Languages are paths to people, cultures, experiences, and a joy in themselves. Best wishes on your journey!
Maybe it will cost me more than a young person, but I have a lot of perseverance and this I hope will help me. And also our spirits. Thank you

This morning I was surprised when I was reading a paper about a Catalan architect, however, I was reading in English and I understood it perfectly, I read a lot, and suddenly an unknown word appeared, then I realized that I was reading in English. This has made me very happy
A huge congratulations for his desire to learn and his great dedication. Cheer up!!! Go ahead!!!
