If we were trying to say "the worker knows HOW to use the tool"...would it be "O trabalhador sabe como usar a ferramenta"?
In portuguese both of them carry the same meaning "o trabalhador sabe (como) usar a ferramenta". Where i live the most common is using that structure without "como".
In english you need the word "HOW". The answer "The worker knows to use the tool" is incorrect. It would resemble in Portugese something like "O trabalhador usar a ferramenta". Sorry...
