Recently, a small number of my skills are stuck on 75% when I view them on Duome.eu, and no amount of practice can increase them. Currently got 1 Portuguese and 2 Spanish stuck like this (though most skills behave normally and strenghthen to 100% when I practise). Is this some sort of glitch? How do I solve it?! Thanks!
Duome is not an official Duolingo website. You probably won't get any answers from here.
duome uses duolingo api. the problem stems from duolingo not updating the wordlist correctly I believe. but it seems to have got even worse lately
True, but because it's not directly affecting Duolingo, they probably won't do anything. From what I've heard, the API is out of date and doesn't have some of the new stuff that they really use for their algorithms.

Aren't you confusing Duome with the www.duolingo.com/words list which is based on the very old "Vocabulary Overview API" from the Python 2016 web portal?
I have no idea if staff has finally reengineered their words list in the Scala code or still using a http redirect (could be, because now the "Words" menu link finally supports the new Scala "quick language switcher" web code).
The columns like "last_praticed" have been buggy since 2016, their PRACTICE buttons seems to regularly want to ignore weak words or the API simply won't add 4+ of my Portuguese "grammar skills" and all related words to the list.
And quite some new new learned words simply do not add (register) - this was the case in 2016 and 2017.
This API shows the real (quite long) precise "words strength" value.
The userscript "Duolingo skill strength viewer" is based on this API.
Quote: and doesn't have some of the new stuff that they really use for their algorithms.
AFAIK Duome is based on the "extended user profile" which JSON stream (live data) contains:
- total strength
- skill strength
Duolingo's own calculation does not seem to be very precise, their 25% + 50% "algorithm" s..ks and fails to display 0-24% and 25-49% skill strength values so you could order skills by the real strength numbers (words decay).
All the displayed numbers were just meant to be published for the Python 2016 web portal and "5 strength bar".
100% = 5 bars
75% = 4 bars
50% = 3 bars
25% = 1 or 2 bars (can't exactly remember now) 0%: not available
Wir müssen mit einer Krücke leben weil der Duolingo Backend Code die eigenen Wort Strength Werte nicht vernünftig für eine Anzeige im Web Frontend - pro Skill - neu berechnet!
I was hoping to eventually tie it into a widget that would sit on my phone's home screen.
However, the documentation for the API is incomplete and some of the data coming out of it doesn't seem to match what the actual site is reporting. Also, it feels like Duolingo has changed to a different algorithm for calculating strength but (like usual) hasn't let on what it really is.
So does that mean that duome does not calculate and round strength like the user script then?
I wondered why duome did not have the same issue before.,,,
but just very recently, duome is being affected too, I don’t know what changed!?

No own calculation, the displayed values come from your "extended user profile":

Sounds like the Duolingo practice algorithm to handle weak words is going wrong.
I had the situation that practicing 20+ times the same Adjectives still still had 4-6 DEAD (0.0... strength) words in it and www.duolingo.com simply refused to give me the missing words the one day.
