I already have quite some knowledge of Spanish and I wondered whether it is possible to skip some introductory lessons?

Yes, at various points in your lesson tree there is a 'keyhole' icon which is a shortcut, if you click the icon and pass a test you can unlock all the lessons and skip to that point.
