Introducing DXLi and ThankWee, two new community moderators to the French from English forum!
Today, I'd like to introduce DXLi and ThankWee to the forum as volunteer community moderator. DXLi and ThankWee will also be contributors in the Incubator and help improve the French from English and the English from French courses.
Though nowadays I have little time for French, but I'll be back from time to time to see your excellent work!!! : DD
Really!!!! I just can't believe it!!!!! You deserve this all and much more!! I'm really happy for you!! :-)
I don't know DXLi (but I hope to meet him or her soon), so I would say "Félicitations à Thankwee qui fait vraiment du bon travail sur le forum français également!"
Yes, PaulEnrique for the Portuguese, and I noticed very good users on the Spanish forum too, as rseng (I don't know if it's spelt like this), and other people that I forgot for now.
Merci beaucoup PERCE-NEIGE. You also do great work on both English-French and French-English forums!
I'm so pleased, so very pleased to welcome two new 'colleagues', and English-speakers to make me even happier!
Hourra ! C'est lesgéniale nouvelles ! :-)
Alright, I think I have it correct now (?). Sorry for all the edits. :-)
Oops! You're right! I forgot the 'e' at the end of géniale.
However, I think the rest of the sentence is alright (?).
Not really... Sorry! Here are a few acceptable solutions : Quelle géniale nouvelle !
Y tu?
Without a doubt, ThanKwee genuinely deserves to be doing this, far more than anyone other I have yet to encounter. Her input is always in it's purest form and always about being actually helpful. Who could ask for anything more. Congratulations, ThanKwee, but really congratulations are in order for Duolingo too, as the standard on moderators has just been raised to a new level. May all the rest of the moderators rise to meet you. And I know if they ever ask you how you do it, you will kindly tell them exactly how. :)
Congratulations DXLi and ThanKwee!! Toutes mes félicitations à DXLi et ThanKwee !!
Wonderful news! - I've been longing for someone who can speak English to help on this course.
Very pleased indeed to see ThanKwee added as moderator. I have had quite a lot of interaction with ThanKwee (please note where the second capitalisation goes) and have found her a very gracious person, always pleasant to deal with and always genuinely interested in clearing up language questions with a very positive and non-combative approach. Indeed I have considered her an excellent candidate for moderator for a long time and am happy to see that she has now assumed that role.
I haven't had the pleasure of encountering DXLi on the forums yet but am happy to see another native English speaker added so there is now a nice balance (2+2) between native French speakers and native English speakers across the two courses.
WOW! OK, ThanKwee... how many times to I have to say you rock it? When are we going to chat in Tewa?
Hi Rarcher K'an Pin. We'll chat in Tewa once you teach me more. Your Tewa dictionary is an amazing thing. Maybe one day we'll have Tewa in the incubator! ☺
That would be wild. I've had the same thought. Hmm... maybe we should work together on that. I think the council would be.....miffed.
Welcome! :D Thank you so much for contributing, you guys are amazing! I appreciate all your work!
