Strangest error I've seen on Duolingo
Um, what is wrong with my answer?
I can't recall seeing this before, but I gave the exact answer Duo wanted (using the Word Bank provided) and it gave me this error. Weirdly, when the question came back around my answer was fine as seen here: .
EDIT: I swear I didn't Photoshop this! Has anyone else had this happen to them? sigh I guess I can't prove anything even with screenshots.
I'm not a developer - just a volunteer/course contributor! I have nothing to do with finding or fixing bugs, FYI. Nothing I say should be seen as speaking for Duolingo's developers. :D
Sorry about the typo, I couldn't think of the correct word for some reason, Ive just edited it.
It's not just the Japanese course; it happens to me quite often all over Duolingo. I notice it always happens when my internet connection is unstable.
There had been a few reports like that around this course - it seems to happen now and then. Nothing you can really do - just shrug it off (or post here again) and keep going.
This seems to be a kinda common bug, I've seen quiet a few posts like yours. But I guess if we keep reporting it, it may get fixed eventually.
Already got this kind of error with another course, very annoying, I just reported it to say that my answer is correct, that's the only thing we can do after all...
That happened to me as well, in problems where you select the answer. There are sometimes two of the same answer and I find that the correct one is the one with the font slightly smaller. Nonetheless, it is a little difficult to work with.
Gosh, you have no idea how many posts like this I have seen by just scrolling.
Not very often, but I've possibly seen it. However, usually when I think they are the same, I eventually realize that there is a small difference.
You can send the screenshots to troubleshooting.
