Jeremy Vine on BBC2 learning Cymraeg

Nos da.

For those that hadn't followed it, a while ago Jeremy said some unkind things about Cymru & dysgu Cymraeg. Some people got in contact with him & on st. Davids day Aran Jones of 'Say something in Welsh' was with Jeremy in the studio to teach him on air.

You can listen to the segment here, it is around 1 hour & 5 minutes, in the second hour right after the news: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0002sgs

Furthermore Jeremy paid for a scholarship for 10 people to learn Welsh. Aran Jones' website can be found here: www.saysomethingin.com

It is such a positive thing to come out of this & such nice radio. It was really brave of Jeremy to do this live on air, well done.

Thanks for posting, he seems to have made an effort to make up for his original remarks

His original remarks weren't anything against Welsh though, he was just doing his job of creating debate by pointing out that speaking English in France is not the same as speaking English in Wales. That aside, I hope SSIW got some new subscribers out of it!
