This lesson is a complete waste of time!

I'm now on Sports, level 4, lesson 4: https://www.duolingo.com/skill/sw/Sports/4

This means I got this lesson for the fourth time now, and I'm sure a fifth will follow. Learning content: one word!! Difficulty, on a scale from 1 to 10: minus 10.

This is a disgrace DL!

Here are the 20 sentences that we have to translate:

League

Ligi ya Tanzania

Ligi ya Kenya ni nzuri

Ligi

The Kenyan league is good

The Kenyan league is good

League of Tanzania

League of Tanzania

Ligi ya Kenya ni nzuri

Ligi ya Tanzania

Ligi

I remember feeling the same when I got to that lesson. The skill would be so much better if they condensed the info into three lessons instead of dragging it out to four with so much filler.

I know, this one is so frustrating!

Recently I gained some insight on how this might have happened. Contributors have some quotas and guidelines for how many new words they should introduce per skill. So when assembling a skill, they are encouraged to just make up a lot of sentences, which are then divided into lessons within the skill. The problem is that it might just happen that one lesson (the last one in each skill, I suppose) might end up with very few sentences, like this one you're talking about, and all of them related to the same word. The only way to correct this would be by removing these sentences (and therefore the lesson) or adding more sentences to that skill, preferably with some new words!

How funny. Can't you test out of the level (press the key symbol)?

Fortunately, the contributors noticed my comments, and the lesson has now been condensed to 5 or 6 sentences only.
