Huh. I guess it's "Does she want some pepper?". But I don't see why that isn't the preferred translation.

I cant say "Would you like some pepper?", the voice sounded as though that was the question.

Can I translate the sentence as "Do you want pepper?" because as far as I know, you can use the word "Lei" to call the person with whom you are talking. Please give me answers, thank you!
