Italian- Who inspired me to learn Italian?

My family took in an exchange student from Italy for a year, that was one of the best years of my life. When she left I was devastated because at the time a hadn't had a phone or internet, in other words no way to contact her. So I figured, why not learn Italian so when I do get a phone I can talk to her in Italian. So I have been learning Italian for the past three years and I have loved it soo much. Cordiali saluti, cavallo. If you are reading this Giulia, thank you.

That is a great reason to learn a language, and I bet she will be very proud of you that you are learning her native language. Good luck with your studies and I hope you are able to surprise her soon.

That's great! Learning something new everyday is a pleasure and using what is learned with a friend is the most special pleasure.
