Is there a way to disable/skip/avoid "tap the pairs" exercises?

These kind of exercises are very little productive for me. I simply hate them and they discourage me to study. I find them counterproductive besides being very boring. It's much more a memory test than a learning exercise in my opinion.

Can I disable them? Or even skip them? I know I can avoid them by leveling up through tests. But I can only level up through tests in Spanish because I'm a native speaker of Portuguese. If I were to learn German, for instance, I wouldn't be able to do that.

I would even pay for Duolingo Plus if there was an option to get rid of those "exercises". Does anyone know if it's possible?

Yes, Duolingo's (mobile) web version www.duolingo.com does not contain "tap the pairs" exercises.

That’s so annoying I thought you want people to use the app It’s clearly the preferred and recommended avenue to use duo

Please come up with a way to skip in app or delete the tap the pair excercise all together
