Can someone help me figure this out?

I'm confused about this original sentence in one of the lessons: "als ich weider zu mir komme, bin ich in einem großen Raum"

At first I thought maybe this is a separable verb zukommen, to become... But that looks as if it means: "As I again become to myself"??

Or is wiederkommen the verb being used here?.. As I come back to myself?

The answer in the duolingo sentence was, "when I become conscious again, I am in a big room"... But I can't see how we get that from the original sentence.

Can someone enlighten me on this? Thanks :)

Duo is right. You come from a state of not being aware of yourself (e.g. being unconscious or maybe just out of your mind) to a state where you regain control of your self. You come (back) to your senses and can make out your surroundings again. Du kommst zu dir, you come to yourself.

So it is, you come to yourself. As I again come to myself...Not wiederkommen. Okay. Thanks for the quick reply. :)

The verb is "zu sich kommen" which is "to come to", eg to wake up after fainting.

Das ist eine großartige Phrase, die ich meinem Anki-Kartenset hinzufügen kann.
