Interesting. Pretty heavy stuff. But I wonder how much of this would effectively contribute to improving Norwegian (language) knowledge at this level. However, may I suggest Jo Nesbø? Live, if possible. D

I like slow and pretty music, so I don't listen to rap, jazz, etc; but if you're like me, you might want to try listening to Siri Nilsen, I really like her music, she's what made me start Norwegian in the first place! Good luck! :D

Well, this isn't slow and pretty, but I listen to some Katastrofe...His stuff is upbeat and bouncy...I don't really listen to other stuff. :)

YES! Great page. Let us share! *love music I shall search out everything here.

To contribute: My favorite music sang in Norsk: Havnatt

1: Han Som Skyggar Meg

2: Je Bøgde Me Stille - Og Gråt

They also wrote 'Omit' which is my absolute favorite music, its sung in English though. Learning norsk has made their poetry make more sense, different way of thinking and targeting objects than English. Their best song in my opinion: Passage.

I also like Sanger Du Hater, I don't know who it's by, you can listen to it here.

Edit: It's by Katastrofe

I've listened to many artists but Bendik is the best in terms of pop and clear speaking. My favorite song by her is Perfekt.

I really like Virkelig's "Balletdanseren" and--although I suspect it ought to be a guilty pleasure--DJ Broiler's "Afterski." But the song that broke the camel's back and made me start learning Norwegian in the first place was Ylvis' "Jeg Heter Finn."
