the previous screen translated maquina as engine, but suddenly it's wrong here?

I noticed that too. According to SpanishDict.com engine is an acceptable translation for maquina but it does appear that it usually is translated as machine.

exactly. I was thinking, OK, maquina is engine. I thought it was "el motor", but if Duo says so, then OK. Then I get this question and answer it the motor is old, but no......

So would, "Es una vieja máquina," mean something like, "It is an antique machine?" Or would it just be nonsense?
