That would be, "Mālie kēia lā ." Starting a sentence with "He" means that it is going to be an equational sentence (two things being equated with the English word "is") - "A calm day = this." When "is" appears between the noun and the adjective in English ("is calm"), you just use the adjective as a verb in Hawaiian.
