Duokeyboard broken by changes to Duolingo?

Has the Duokeyboard browser extension been disabled by some change in the Duolingo web site?

I have been using it for a long time but today it suddenly stopped working for no obvious reason. The similar Duolibro extension in Chrome seems also to be broken.

(edit) This significantly degrades the user experience - see also

(edit) The Duokeyboard extension was updated on 28 April 2019 to handle the changes in the web site. It is now working as intended.

It's totally kaput for me too. :-( Glad I'm not the only one! Massively frustrating though.

If anyone is using iOS, you can go to Input Sources under Keyboard Preferences and add the keyboard you need. It's a bit tedious to have to toggle back and forth between an English keyboard and the Hebrew, French, etc., but it is better than going without. Also, here is a helpful link for those of you running Windows.

The DuoKeyboard site in the Chrome store says this issue will be fixed soon.

In the meantime, I am using this keyboard and copying and pasting into Duolingo when needed:

There is also a developer comment dated 21 April on the Firefox extension page "The fix is almost ready, currently testing it and it is expected to be released this week." but I think the extension is so valuable we should be happy to have a fix whenever it is ready.
