"Mögen Sie Brot?"
No it doesn't.
"Do you like bread?" - I don't know the answer. I am asking the question to find out.
"You like bread?" - The answer is known to me and I'm saying this as a statement question or just double checking. For example, I thought my friend hated bread. Then one day we go to a restaurant and the waiter asks if we want any bread before our meal. My friend says "Yes please, I really like bread." I am shocked by this and ask (even though I know the answer since I just heard it) "You like bread?"
