Would be nice if the system allows us to have more margin for error that the student will not be limited to just 5 hearts, and also accumulate mistakes made on another site and then analyze and meet the objective, that does not obstruct that move from unit. user. dorisdo.
Actually, for later skills you will get four chances instead of five. A lot of people get their motivation from the challenge that the lessons offer. That challenge is also necessary to make sure that people spend enough time on the new things that they learn. If you feel that the balance between challenging and frustrating could be improved then your suggestions would need to include ways to make sure that people will continue to be motivated and that they get enough exposure to the things they learn. Could you explain what you mean by the option to "accumulate mistakes made on another site"?
The farther you go down the skill tree, the more you will find that passing through lessons is not something you do without an effort. I remember passing a dozen of lessons a day in the beginning. Now I pass a couple lessons a day: usually 1-3 attempts to pass a lesson for the first time, then redoing the same lesson a few times, then repeating the same with the next lesson and doing a good deal of untimed and timed practice. It's still fun if you accept the fact that learning grows harder with the time. You don't want to make it seem easier with increasing the number of hearts, this way will only lead you to assuming your skill is good while it is very weak.
Italian has only 3 hearts. Perfect amount in my opinion, teaches you to not make mistakes and really focus on learning the material properly. I would actually like to see certain mistakes to be taken more strictly. Also I feel that there should be no hearts in the Vocabulary sections (1 shot to get all the questions correct) because if you know that you got the 1st question correct you can just simply skip the 2nd and still get the points; no effort really needed.
