Wow the Chinese speaker courses came out in a bang! Now they can learn Japanese, Korean, French and Italian!
I’d like to see this too. I have a post asking for clarification, but so far no one has responded (I’d like to contribute as well).
I ask the same for other courses in the incubator that have been stalled for a long time with no progress.
i was wondering the same.. looks like only a 2% growth in past month. At that rate they will not have it done by Sept when we got told it may be done by.
Congrats to the Chinese speakers who have a couple of new courses.
Apparently the Arabian from English course has been stuck at 68% for a "while". Anyone know what’s the deal with that?
Inshallah, it would be so cool to test / play around a bit to see what it would be like to learn Arabian on Duolingo, my knowledge of the language is pretty much zero.
Anyone know what’s the deal with that?
We don't know what is going on with Arabic. They changed the release date to July 1 recently so they don't have people on May 1 or after wondering why it still hasn't come out. The lack of progress on Arabic this year is concerning and there is no word on what is going on. All I know is that some of the contributors were replaced with new ones, and Duo said in the April 2019 updates post (one of their comments) that they plan to release Arabic this year.
Ah alright, thanks! Leaving contributors and assigning new ones would explain it being stuck at 68% and the postponing of the release date. Well hopefully they’ll get things rolling again soon.
I wonder if all those Chinese courses will have reverse courses
Chinese from Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Italian, French and what have you.
Good point, Nanase-Miyuki! Lingodeer is a paid app though. I have it myself but some others may not.
I don't know if anybody cares, but Swedish for Turkish speakers has no contributors. German for Chinese Speakers doesn't either, but I assume this one will be made by staff too.
Happy that four Chinese speakers courses came out this week. Thanks Duo.
Also, I see some little bit of progress for the English courses for South Asian speakers.
