When i hovered over "made" it gave "machte" but i was marked down for using "Die Flasche macht aus Glas." Why would the hover be conjugated for "Ich machte"? Is machen appropriate for something like glass?
I would like to have learnt "made of" before getting here
Can someone give a more fancy way of saying this in German? so that it reflects the part ' is made of ' rather than simply saying ' is from '. Danke
You could say "Die Flasche besteht aus Glas".
Lol, they seem to have updated it to say besteht, but not included it as a possible translation of the the word made in the list.
So does this literally translate to "the bottle is of glass"?
I would go for "The bottle is out of glass".
Why not Die Flasche ist aus Glas hergestellt?
Two of these were the exact same answer
