Missing punctuation causing errors.

I keep getting answers incorrect due to missing punctuation, but there is no option to select the punctuation when answering. It seems to happen when doing a timed practice of the Family category (just before the second check point). There is also no way to report the error, possibly because it's a timed practice.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Duolingo does not use/acknowledge punctuation when grading. If the punctuation in the correction is underlined when it tells you there is an error it usually means that a word there is missing.

Listening questions however have had occasional issues of marking questions wrong that aren't at all, and those types of questions can't be reported. It's unknown what causes it to happen as in the past contributors have looked into it to find nothing actually off with the question itself.

Was it like this? This was the issue I had the other day where neither combination of correct word boxes were acceptable for the first three times I attempted the question, and then suddenly it worked again. It's certainly frustrating.

Yup. I had assumed it was punctuation related because everything else was correct.

Too bad there's no fix on the horizon. Little frustrations like that really degrade the learning experience.

So I've sent a report but it would be extremely helpful if you could grab a screenshot of this when it happens and post it here as well; especially if you can zoom out a bit on your screen (to show that there are no other tiles that are hidden and show the ones that are, since often the bottom row gets covered in this new update)

The issue itself seems to stem from the weird situation of there being multiple tiles that can be used to create the correct answer, and the running theory is that only certain tiles are marked correct even though they're identical to others. As in my example though, both combinations were marked wrong; and though I'm pretty sure I didn't have any hidden tiles, maybe there were three options for me and one was just hidden.
