I used "leng" rather than "jaH," and was credited with a typo. "jaH" does sound a little cooler to me, in a poetic way. Is this a phrase from Klingon literature?

It's from the Klingon Right of Ascension Ceremony. The Klingon version is given in The Klingon Way.

The version with leng is an accepted answer and I'm sure whatever typo you had was being compared to that version and not that the software considers leng a typo for jaH. It's just that since the jaH version is the "best translation" it will always show that answer even if it recognizes that you were trying to put in a different accepted answer.
