"Your ship seems to be consuming milk."

Translation:nIm natlhlaw'taH DujlIj.

May 10, 2019

If this can be translated as, "Your ship is appearing to consume milk.", could "nIm natlhtaHlaw' DujlIj." mean "your ship is consuming milk, apparently.' Or am I missing the point?

-law' and -taH have a fixed order and cannot be reversed. However, both of the English sentences you gave could be accepted as translations for this Klingon sentence. In both, the consuming is ongoing and apparent (not certain).

Thanks. I'll refer to my dictionary.
