  • yáʼátʼééh = hello/good/like/likes
  • hágoóneeʼ = goodbye/see you later
  • ahéheeʼ = thank you
  • shimá = mother

Lesson 2

  • abiní = morning
  • haash = what
  • yinilyé = is your name
  • dóó = and
  • ni = you

Lesson 3

  • Naat'áaniinééz = to Shiprock
  • góó = (I) am/(you) are
  • déyá = going
  • daʼ = you mean/is
  • diníyá = (you are/are you) going

Family

Lesson 1

  • shimá yazhí = maternal aunt
  • shimasaní = maternal grandmother
  • shizheʼé = father
  • nalí asdzaan = paternal grandmother
  • shi = I/my
  • hólǫ́ = it exists/there is - can be used to say "I have"
  • bee = with/by means of (it) - can be used to say "he/she/it has"
