What is the Educator Network?
The Duolingo Educator Network is our way of connecting and supporting teachers who grow, lead, and empower academic communities. This Network gives you a different approach than the Educator Forum because we convene in a real-time chat room where you can get immediate responses to questions, get invited to special events, be sponsored at conferences, and have a first-hand knowledge of future updates. If you are interested in joining a thriving community of teachers from all over the world, fill out this form (we have updated it to request the minimum necessary information)
the link inside the form is not working (404 error).
So the form is asking people to agree with terms that they cannot read…
Moreover, is this link (the one inside the form) supposed to be shared publicly?
Thanks for bringing the broken link to our attention. Will fix it right away
The link is fixed. You have to share the Code of Conduct with people who thinks that qualify to be part of the Network and want to apply.
It could be shared only after they have been selected: as a last confirmation-step, in the email announcing them that they've been selected, asking them if they confirm they are interested. The click on "I agree" in the Code of Conduct being the confirmation itself.
Uh, that's weird. The link has always worked for me, even before jrikhal's comment.
- Educators on Duo are (supposed to be) real-life educators/teachers.
- Duo's Educators are part of Duo's Global Ambassadors program, which requires to be over 18 as explained in Support Pages' article "Is there an age requirement for Global Ambassadors?".
That is really a shame. It looks like teaching has an age limit, but I understand why it´s done...
Thank you for creating the Educator Network, and for accepting me so quickly. Please let us know of our responsibilities, other than continuing to teach our students and to contribute to Duolingo's discussion forums.
At the Network we try to serve You, so not extra responsibilities :) Just shout out if you need something, either the staff or other teachers will come out soon to try to help!
After click in Add Students, you have two options: create account in their behalf and share link. If you click on share link, in addition to the link, below, you'll see the classroom code. You can also click on the little gear icon of the classroom (in your classrooms page) and chose classroom settings: the code will appear there.
Hi Gabi! How are you? I was exploring the website and realised Duolingo have a program called The Duolingo Educator Network but I was reading that it is only for teachers. Is there another way or program where people can contribute? It could be with vocabulary or grammar.
Thanks for your attention.
