Will this course expand?

I finished the tree, went to lvl 5 on one to find it disappointingly the same stuff.

Overall I like the course but I don't find it big enough or challenging enough. I guess I started high on the tree after the placement test. The lower stuff I find painful, some of the higher stuff I liked but if I go back to it I mostly remember it all. I never really found any of it challenging. Now if I was first starting I think it would be different and I think I would find this invaluable. But as it is I can't really find any much continued value. I guess it has given me the confidence to move off and study by myself. I have taken to reading and watching more Indo. I feel though if the tree was more challenging, bigger, etc then I could advance much further and faster here. Expanding the vocab with some common slang and conversational usage would be great. Increasing the general vocab and complexity of the lessons would be great too.

Thanks

If you are a beginner, that is truly amazing. If not, and you probably aren’t because you took a placement test, it was probably easy. Try doing the reverse tree.

If all else fails, try another language. Thanks

No I am far from a beginner, I have slowly been learning Indo for about 17 years now. I have never lived in Indo, but when I go there after a few days my brain switches into Indo mode and I am like 500% more proficient with it.

I was thinking of trying "reverse mode", I guess I will do that. I wish duo lingo was around 17 years ago! Another language would be great, but I had such a hard time learning English when younger and then my progress with Indo, what is considered an easy language, has been so slow. I feel I just don't have the room in my head for much more than even one language. I know using Indo my English quickly suffers! Especially after say spending a Month in Indo I can have massive trouble with English grammar when I return home. I did notice after becoming better in Indo, I guess as a second language, then other languages became easier. Then there is age, learning Indo and even holding onto my more obscure English becomes harder the older I get. So for me improving my Indonesian is the task I am solely interested in, I don't feel I will ever achieve the same level as English but I can try !

I have been using Duo for 3-4 years, about 2 years seriously, and I have a number of languages, but in time I shall learn all of them. If you keep going you will definitely get there!

Thanks

The course is still in beta, so it will be a long time before they think about expanding the tree.

Thanks , though it looks a bit basic. The extra info and links on this forum are very valuable! It is a pity the forum is so hard to access to find it all!

The Search function in the forums is pretty bad, doesn't let you sort by date.
