What does this mean?

it's poorly constructed. Should have been 'after tea, studying'

or 'after-tea studying'.

A question about syntax: Is there any reason why we can't say, 'Kusoma baada ya chai'?

I know this would technically translate to 'Reading after tea.' but that still seems like a better English sentence than the one given here.
