Staff Appreciation Day
I think we should have a staff appreciation day because the mods and admins work so hard trying to keep us learning. They work relentlessly to combat bugs and glitches, for who knows how long. I hope you agree. If you do agree please up-vote this topic so that the mods can see how much we care.
Mods (moderators) are unpaid volunteers, not staff!
They are not able to solve bugs and glitches, but they are the ones who are always very friendly and helpful in the discussion forums.
So, yes I like to thank all the unpaid volunteers (moderators AND course contributors!).
Duolingo's paid staff are the ones who make the bugs and glitches and hardly solve them. So, ..... ?
Thanks to the mods for putting up with all the muck, nonsensical and unsubstantial posts, and repeated question posts that show up ad nauseam.
Where's the daily chart? Where's the graph? Where's my daily/weekly xp graph? Where's my goal chart? WHHHHYYYYY!?
Ugh, you guys have far more patience than I do, good work. I wouldn't want that role, that's for sure.
I love love love Duolingo. I want to give heartfelt thanks and kudos to the staff who have envisioned and developed this method of language learning. I have had a lifelong desire to learn Czech, as it was my father's first language but which he lost due to pressure to conform within the educational system. So it is a joy to be able to study it now. I had looked for a method over the years, and until I found Duolingo, it didn't seem possible. I'm studying Spanish because I now live in Mexico and want to become fluent. I am well on my way, and Duolingo is helping me get there! Thanks so much. Y'all are doing a great service to the world. I also want to say that as an achievement-motivated person, I love all the rewards and badges and incentives to keep going. They delight my inner nine-year-old self. Muchísimas gracias a todos por todo!
I second this. I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into Duolingo. The staff/volunteers have done a lot to make it what it is now. If any staff are reading this, thank you!
Yes, that's a good idea!
I really appreciate all the hard work the staff have done to make Duolingo as it is right now :)
I agree. Je suis d'accord. Mi konsentas. Jag håller med. Estoy de acuerdo. Aontaím. Jeg er enig. Rwy'n cytuno. συμφωνώ. согласен. What else can I say?
I wholeheartedly agree. With as much complaining about the site as I see on the forums, it's good to see that someone else appreciates all the hard work it takes to keep up the courses.
