Random Japanese Fact of the Day Prt.4
In Japan, they sell square watermelons that were first designed to fit more compactly in fridges and to be cut more easily, but they’ve since become decorative items that can cost as much as $160 U.S dollars!
Because that would actually be less efficient in terms of packing density.
Finally, something cubed that I can fit in my cube catapult. All of the heathens just kept laughing at me when I flung a couple trays worth of ice cubes at them, and the wooden blocks didn't fly far enough. Neither did the cardboard boxes I filled with rocks. Those just broke apart mid-air '^'
Yeah and there's the proof that we've never evolved from monkeys...well Asians anyways XD
Japan, you are weird and wonderful. I really want to go there one day
EDIT: Thanks for the lingot random person :D
I have seen those before, they have this weird box that the watermelon when it starts off grows in then when its ripe it'll have been in there just to the point it is a square, it could also be in other shapes but they are harder to do for the water melon.
What happens when it rots? Then you'll have rotten decoration? @_@ That's so pointless instead you can give it to some starving people in Africa. ;)
