My day streak jumped from 80 days to 10800 days and Duolingo staff won't reply
Overnight, my day streak increase by 10,920 days. While I wish I were that persistant, or that I could gain the language capabilities of practicing Spanish for almost 30 years overnight, I'm sure that my inability to write this post in Spanish proves neither wish prevails.
Necesito ayuda! (No esta mal para 80 dias)

There are many cases like yours and all of them are linked to Plus accounts. Silence is the usual practice of duolingo staff, unfortunately. If they will not fix it soon, then not only lingots will lose value.
It seems to me that you did not understand me. I wanted to say that lingots have no value for now and the streak in our profiles gradually is losing its value.
Wow! This is so magnificent I had to take a screenshot of it. Keep it up and in a few short months you'll have a 60 year streak! Truly remarkable! =D
I needed a Duolingo laugh with all the most recent wave of changes. This did it. :D
exactly the same thing happened to me as welll.... I'm on 9324 now, apparently. sent a bug report but no answer yet
same with me, like 25 days to 2660. I don't want to lose it now... so I guess it gives me more motivation
Have you filled out a bug report and submitted it? With all of the cases in which this is happening, I'm afraid they won't be able to do much but who knows? That is the way to communicate directly with the people who COULD do something. And in the meantime, it looks like streaks are pretty much meaningless.
Not really, a streak is quite motivating when you see how long you’ve been practicing in a row, and that’s what makes you want to practice everyday. If the streak suddenly rises such as in wimbornone’s case, it just loses its value, since it doesn’t reflect anything. And lingots are pretty useless anyway.
I'm sorry. I am not exactly sure what to do. At least it's a super big streak instead of something like you lost your streak. Thanks for being honest though. Hope it gets fixed soon (fingers crossed)
If you have no response yet and it has been a few days, I suggest you send another report.
The Duolingo staff has a lot of emails to respond to, so please be patient :)
I personally don't really care about streaks or keeping it going ,but i would still keep an eye on it , it could be a symptom of a bigger a problem with the website.
