Anyone for a Greek limerick?

image description: a screenshot of a tweet written by Matthew R. Francis @DrMrFrancis 2:20pm 5/20/19 Tweet Deck. "There once was a girl from Purdue/ Who kept a young cat in a pew/ She taught it to speak/ Alphabetical Greek/ But it never got further than/" This is written over the backdrop of a kitten and a picture of the Greek letter "mu"

PS, here is a Greek alphabet and pronunciation guide. Ty for the link, Jaye26! ^_^

μ is acutally pronounced "mee" in modern Greek. It's only pronounced "moo" by English speakers in math, science, or Bible college.

I hadn't been curious as to who Matthew R. Francis was until reading your comment. Ty for that! I've updated the pronunciation link. :)

Or "mew" by their British counterparts. Actually the limerick probably works better in Britain?

That’s adorable! Thank you for something light hearted to counter the brain fatigue of language learning.
