My streak seems a bit large
My streak seems a bit large, but who knows maybe I've consistently used this app for 56 years in my one year of using it. I woke up one day and looked at my streak and saw 20483. I thought maybe I traveled in time somehow, but every time I checked it was still 2019. Long story short, has anyone had this massive streak inflation glitch, and if so what should I do about it?
Same problem and it seems like same cause. Had a 800+ day streak, missed it -- bought Plus to restore it and went to 74k days. Apparently I started learning in the early 1800s. Fancy that.
I honestly now feel more interest in my new streak. It's like a bragging right that doesn't make sense. I would draw the parallel to if I said something like I can do more push ups than anyone else could if I was in zero gravity. Yeah it's meaningless if I say that, but if I do it to show people up it would be humorous at very least. So in the end I suppose I'm saying as long as it's funny it's the most motivation I can get.
Yeah, I've seen that it happens to only plus users.

A quick note: Duome does check streak length vs account creation date (and a few more things to ensure data integrity), so if there's something totally unrealistic, it would be excluded from the rankings.
Who knows! perhaps a student doing his/her internship messed up a bit the code...
or it was just someone's typo.
Anyway, it's funny!
Wow!! I totally admire that! I think Duolingo just has so many bugs that it's hard to catch all of them. Maybe send some feedback and ask if you've been doing your streak for that long?? I can tell that it's sort of a glitch because even your highest crown level in your highest language isn't even very high.............
I have another problem. I practised yesterday a lot, I saw, that I reached my daily goal, and today I've found out, that I have to use "streak freeze", because I will loose my streak... Maybe it's the same streak-bug as yours...
Usually, that glitch has another cause:
Unfortunately, Duolingo's servers are very slow in synchronizing the data on your device and the databases on their servers.
1) Never log out Duolingo or your device before you have forced the synchronisation:
Select another course in the App
Tap the flame icon to check if it still shows "You've met your daily goal"
Refresh your browser.
2) Check the synchronisation in your personal (unofficial, but very useful) progress page
