is there another name for granpa since there is no t in the Hawaiian language

From reading comments for other sentences, I have seen kupuna kāne listed as an alternative for grandfather. Also, apparently Hawaiian can have t as an allophone of k.

there are no letters at all in the Hawaiian language. The alphabetization was done by westerners who made letters for the sounds they thought they were hearing. t's and k's were probably the same sound as were r's and l's (as in Japanese. You will often se kūkū written instead of tūtū.
