300 days on Duolingo
Not a big deal but I just reached 300 days on Duolingo today. I'm learning Romanian and I am able to hold conversations with native speakers. Duolingo has become a routine of mine and it doesn't feel like a task. In addition to Duolingo, I listen to music and watch movies, series and news in Romanian. Which is your strategy to leaning Romanian?
Just Duolingo so far. Well, that and a lot of music lyrics. There is a lot of inspirational/church music that actually introduced me to Romanian and I do try to listen to those every once in a while to see how many more words I have picked up! I also have tried to listen to different messages and talk shows in Romanian (including some with Laura Bretan most recently and with Noblesse group and the shows their members have hosted).
Congratulations on your success! Thank you for the inspirational post. I have spent my approx. 150 days overall working on various languages but am concentrating on Romanian now, as that is what brought me here. The audio is a real trial but I consider it very good practice for real life!
Best of luck on your next 300 days of study, whether it is here or with other sources.
I found a Romanian church just five minutes from my house and have been going there recently. I understand plenty of what is being said and have fun talking with people after the service. There music is so beautiful, I think I will ask for a copy of the lyrics to read at home.
Thank you for your kind words and much success to you as well. Noroc!
