Ukrainian: Why are the number of total words to learn different between users?

I have finished the Ukrainian tree and I'm actually only a few lessons away from being Golden. With that said, my "Words" according to Duome are maxxed out to 1099. I have no ability to learn any more than I have. On my Progression page under "Words" all my words are in blue, as if my dictionary has exposed me to all of the words I will know in this course:

@HeyMarlana - maxxed out with 1099 words learned. https://duome.eu/HeyMarlana https://duome.eu/HeyMarlana/progression

However, when I spy on others learning Ukrainian, some people have had more words in their course. What sort of access to extra words would people like this have to have learned more words:

@OleksiiMakoviy - maxxed out with 1134 Words https://duome.eu/OleksiiMakoviy and https://duome.eu/OleksiiMakoviy/progression

@Aleks83356 - maxxed out with 1140 Words https://duome.eu/Aleks83356 and https://duome.eu/Aleks83356/progression

@Kategoldobina - maxxed out with 1140 Words https://duome.eu/Kategoldobina and

I'd like to know what these extra 41 words are for some of these people, and how I can get them in the course. Does anyone know how to do this, and why this is? (Alternately, some people have maxxed out with about ten words less than me too.)

I actually don't know the root cause for certain, but here is my guess:

Some sentences get coded by Duolingo's interface to be shown to users less often than others. These are the sentences that are considered very difficult based on what percentage of users get them wrong. IIRC, these "very difficult" sentences are only shown to users rarely, and probably only at higher crown levels. I don't think there's any way to actually "make" them show up once you've maxed out a tree except for continuing to practice each skill continuously and hoping some of the rare sentences appear.

Can't really say for sure, though.

There was a post I read a while back that the Ukrainian course used to have Holidays and Idioms as bonus Skills, and someone said they were gone now. That may explain where the extra words came from too. Do you recall if the Ukrainian course had extra material?

Ukrainian has a few tens of thousands of words. :) Go ahead!

I don't think you understand, so allow me to clarify again: words in this course. I have a Ukrainian/English dictionary and have already been using it faithfully each day. I'd like to apply the words I'm missing out on in the Duolingo course.

Great, so thanks for not answering my question pertaining to the Duolingo course.

I don't really understand why you are worrying about four tens of words when you need to learn four thousand more...

Sorry, if I unwittingly embarrassed you. :)

What makes you thinking I'm worrying about anything? I am asking where these words are for consistency in the course. If some users are tapping in to something that the course offers, I'd like to know what it is so I can learn it and get the most out of what Duolingo is offering here. Is that okay with you?

Sorry, if I unwittingly embarrassed you. :)

Um what? I'm not embarrassed. Instead, your inability to stick to the topic's question just made it seem like you can't understand what's being asked.
