Difficulty completing lessons

I am having great difficulty in completing my daily target because suddenly (a) I can't see all the necessary words to complete an answer and therefore fail that answer. Sometimes the next time that question appears I can see all required words but sometimes I still cannot see the necessary words. (b)The screen shows scrambled pictures of the two icons for checking the audio of the question and this then goes into the answer box and interferes with the ability to answer.

I want to keep the daily progress I have amassed so have not tried to enrol using different email and/or password.

I have heard that Duolingo works best on Chrome browser. There are many problems that show up even there (that's what I use, on a PC) but I do not have the problems you mention.

What device and browser do you use? That may make it easier for people to help you if you share that info. There are workarounds for many bugs.

Also, if you scroll through the troubleshooting forum here you may well find a situation similar to yours and see how others have fixed it.

I have the same problem. I was using Internet explorer. It seems that the sound Icons are too large and they cover parts of the questions. Using The Edge, I did not get that issue. However, another annoying issue using both browsers, has been, no sound on some questions which require sound.

https://support.duolingo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new This is the way to get info to the programmers. If none of the "fixes" work, submitting this should help. I hope all who are having problems are doing this. It will let DL know exactly where the problems are and how widespread.

I had this happen yesterday, in both

Firefox and in Pale Moon browsers.

My solution was to "zoom" out the

screen to 90%. It worked fine for

me. I could see all of the previously

blanked out portions of the screen.

There is a "zoom" feature in pretty

much every browser. I hope this is

This issue is getting to be a serious problem. I have tried Edge, IE, and Chrome and on all of them the 'play sound' and 'play sound slower' icons are covering not only the answers in the word banks but also the accented characters if one is using the keyboard.

I have a similar problem - if the sentence is longer and I get it wrong and want to enter discussion, the buttons are outside on the screen. I'm using Chrome.

Hey keith, i will copy and paste the same answer because i see that you recurred into making a new account. you should try this: 1) try to log out and log in if not 2) try to check if you didnt make any zoom for accident (keep pressing the "control" button and at the same time use the mouse`s scroll to make zoom in and out) if that still does not work. 3) use a diferent browser that defenitely would fix it, i recomend firefox, it is the best browser and if you care about privacy firefox is very trust worthy. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

I have tried all the 'solutions' given by several different people so thank you for those. However nothing has succeeded in resolving the problem. I am therefore not going to be using Duolingo any longer after having a 106 day streak. The program has worked successfully on my computer until a cou[ple of weeks ago so I fail to see how my system can be the problem. Bye bye Duolingo

This is the same story for me! When I am doing both the German course and the Italian. I had similar problems with the Spanish a while ago. It does seem to be a system problem - perhaps there is a missing function?
