I'd recommend learning Korean not only through Duolingo but also through other sources. I use(d) the following:

Duolingo is fine for learning the basics and learning new vocabulary, but once you got a general understanding of Korean it starts lacking in depth. So I decided to invest in better study materials to dig further into Korean. Of course, repetition and dedication is really important too ^^. I hope this helps!

Given you have the time after work/school/etc I would also like to recommend watching K-Drama shows with Korean subtitles or Livestreams to interact with a native speaking community. These two options help to test what you have learnt in a somewhat natural environment.

I hope this adds to what Qui recommended and helps you!

There are plenty of online textbooks such as Korean from Zero. I don't know what your opinion of Kpop is, but listening to songs in any language is a great way to test how much you know and learn new words, though obviously some sentence structure is changed to fit the song better.

I would suggest stopping after each word and making sure to look how the Korean alphabet makes the sounds in that word for a bit

I benefit most from my online tutoring sessions these days, on Italki and Verbling. Check this Reddit thread for a couple of good teachers.

Yes, I'm in alphabet 2 as well and I've been writing everything down it helps a lot to go back and study it.

I also recommend just sticking to one language and not 5 other ones it makes it a lot better construction on that one language than having the others distract you. Sincerely, Bluestar

I stick with Japanese as well because it has slight ties with Korean though I might drop it. :(

Oh well I felt kind of lost at first but I found it a lot easier while watching some videos on youtube and then taking the tests here (Ive been studying grammar from another site as well I find it quite amazing and it explains things so well (how to study korean)) and I think (I dont know If you already do) that watching movies or kdramas helped me a loooooot in understanding how they casually speak and some slang words and phrases
