HELP LEARNING KOREAN FROM ENGLISH
Hi everyone, Anyone there whom are learning Korean from English? Please show me some effective ways to learn Korean, thousand thankfulness about that Even I got golden owl in Korean, still couldn't be familiar in Korean
I'd recommend learning Korean not only through Duolingo but also through other sources. I use(d) the following:
- Lingodeer and Lingodeer plus (paid) (apps for smartphones)
- I bought my own study books to learn and practise.
Duolingo is fine for learning the basics and learning new vocabulary, but once you got a general understanding of Korean it starts lacking in depth. So I decided to invest in better study materials to dig further into Korean. Of course, repetition and dedication is really important too ^^. I hope this helps!
Given you have the time after work/school/etc I would also like to recommend watching K-Drama shows with Korean subtitles or Livestreams to interact with a native speaking community. These two options help to test what you have learnt in a somewhat natural environment.
I hope this adds to what Qui recommended and helps you!
Surely my frd^^ I would like to watch K-drama without sub one nearest day so firstly I have to learn harder day by day. Live stream is a good idea that I never tried before . Thank for your helful recommended^^
Thank you lovely friend^^ I also following TTMIK on both website and youtube chanel. I'm also have books and audio but I'm too lazy to read all of them . I need to be rest after long day at office so I watching youtube and gameshow with engsub title most of time. I watch K-dramas and K-pop MV as well ^^. I know that learning a new language is so interesting but We have to spend more time, learning harder to get the goal. I would try ur recommend ways ofcoursely☺☺ Thank you all^^
There are plenty of online textbooks such as Korean from Zero. I don't know what your opinion of Kpop is, but listening to songs in any language is a great way to test how much you know and learn new words, though obviously some sentence structure is changed to fit the song better.
Hi im learning Korean because im homescooled and its probably the easiest thing ive lernt but its still difficult its a great language to learn (｡･ω･｡)
I would suggest stopping after each word and making sure to look how the Korean alphabet makes the sounds in that word for a bit
Im only on alphabet 2 but a good tip (in my opinion) is writing down new things you learn in a note book
Yes, I'm in alphabet 2 as well and I've been writing everything down it helps a lot to go back and study it.
I also recommend just sticking to one language and not 5 other ones it makes it a lot better construction on that one language than having the others distract you. Sincerely, Bluestar
I stick with Japanese as well because it has slight ties with Korean though I might drop it. :(
Oh God me too I like the ways that teacher JaeHwi do alot I enjoy youtube most of time because I could learn, get news and relax in the same place See u there friend
Oh well I felt kind of lost at first but I found it a lot easier while watching some videos on youtube and then taking the tests here (Ive been studying grammar from another site as well I find it quite amazing and it explains things so well (how to study korean)) and I think (I dont know If you already do) that watching movies or kdramas helped me a loooooot in understanding how they casually speak and some slang words and phrases
