Lingots on iOS app??
So until recently, I had only ever seen gems. I used the app on my iPhone and had never logged into the website. I read where there were more learning options and a different interface on the website!
I logged into website and saw lingots. Read all about them and how they were converted to gems, etc.
Now, when I logged into the app on my iPhone again. I have lingots in the iOS app.
That’s totally fine by me!
My problem is that, after every lesson and every login, I get spammed with the app asking me if I want to wage 50 gems in Double or Nothing...
When I click Go To Shop, I spend 5 LINGOTS to wage my streak, then after my next lesson, the app continues to ask me if I would like to spend gems to wage for a streak again >.<
I am a plus subscriber so I don’t have to deal with so much spam from ads, and this is equally irritating, if not worse!
I have tried uninstalling and redone loading the app on my iPad and on my iPhone and I keep having the same problem!
Can someone who has experienced this please help to fix, or is there a way to talk to a dev about what else I can try doing to find a solution?

They usually do not get in touch with you after you have submitted a bug report.

There simply was not any chance to get the backup and restore working right, debug the mobile app with the help of a 3rd level technican and senior developers.
Get rid of the tapping app, use the www.duolingo.com web portal on a computer or your smartphone.
