A Small Amazing Conversation Moment Out In The Real World!
So apparently a young woman from the Dominican Republic asked me where the store was in my area, and out of nowhere i started to guide and have a small conversation with her! Like i was a native spanish speaker!
I just want to thank Duolingo for offering free education all over the world!
Hasta Luego :D
¡Gran trabajo SCARL! Gracias por compartir tu historia.
Los momentos pequeños son lo que nos ayudan mejorar nuestro español. :) Creo que vas a hablar español con fluidez muy pronto.
Yep, Some names do (some names don’t though.)
For instance: John would be Juan and Mary would be María.
Just European names do? I wonder if Arabic names would change.. Thanks Andrés!
Hmm...I honestly have no idea. I am newer to Arabic so maybe this is a question for Sassy.
Most European names do translate in Spanish though.
Well I'm not exactly that far into Spanish to know [as you can see on my level] XD But I doubt they change to be honest :) Don't quote me out on that though!
Thanks for responding! that's fine, my name will be such more horrible when it changes a little!
HMM let's guess: Gracias means thanks, por means for, compartir means to share, tu means your, and historia means story, so thanks for sharing your story... wow it looks like French! XD
Wow! I’m impressed, you got it right and you are not even studying Spanish, right?
Really?! everyone says that Spanish is so close to French, I don't know anything about Spanish except for Hola and Gracias :)
You seem like you would do really well in Spanish (maybe you should give it a try one day.)
Do you speak French?
This seems interesting! hope I'll have this chance with an Englishman/woman ^^ (I doubt)
Sousou, English is my first language and I thought it was yours too!
Your English is amazing!
Wow! And you too! B) Legend!
Edit: ¡Wow! Y tu tambien! ¡Leyenda! - I should speak to you in Spanish now lol! (If I got something wrong tell me ;p )
Sassy, everything is perfect in your Spanish!
If you are curious “wow” in Spanish in “vaya”.
thats literally so cool! I love duolingo too!
Hasta luego right back at you ;) :)
Hola, I studied Spanish for a bit without Duolingo and it was BORING. When mi Madre found Duolingo I dropped Spanish and moved on. Maybe one day I will pick it back up. Buenas Noches!
S.c.a.r.l. you seem like you know more than a 11'th level Spanish learner
