Listen or hear
I can to use listen "escutar" and hear "ouvir".
Listen = pay attetion. I listen the music. (escutar) Hear = Do not pay attetion. I hear the noise of televisão. ( ouvir)

Hi. More or less, yes. But sometimes Portuguese uses "ouvir" when we use "listen". And remember, it's "listen to music".
