Excited to Meet All of You!

Hello everyone!

I just thought I would introduce myself and hopefully find encouragement and community. My name is Courtney and I am a college student and a history nerd (even though that is not my major) and I love learning about countries and cultures. Recently, I discovered I am almost 70% Welch and English. This came as a complete surprise to me, having no idea I was Welch and to have such a high amount. I believe it is enough to be considered Welch-American? Perhaps not. ;) My goal through Dulingo is to teach myself the Welch language and perhaps the Irish/Scottish languages as well, (the family also being from there.) and hopefully discover and learn as much as I can about my family and where I came from.

Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this! God bless! :)

(I do hope I put this in the right section! If not, can someone please let me know so I can correct that ASAP? Thank you!)

General posts about language learning usually go in "Duolingo in English". This forum, "Troubleshooting" is for problems with the program or app itself. The specific language forums (i.e. Welsh, French, etc.) are for questions about the languages themselves.

Also, are you sure you mean to say "Welch" or is it "Welsh"? Either way, happy learning, welcome and God bless (from another person with a tiny bit of Welsh in my ancestry :-))
