Progress not saving

Dear all,

Very often (50%), my progress is not saved, when I complete a lesson. It does only happen for normal lessons, if I pass a test the progress is registered without problems.

I am using the Android App.

Hello Julian,

  • One way, if you learn at home: Your Internet connection is good, but your Wi-Fi connection is weaker than the signal of your telephone company ==> In this case, try if the error is gone if you disable the wireless connection.

  • Second: Make sure you have the latest version of Android and Duolingo. You can also uninstall and reinstall the Duolingo app - no data is lost because it's stored on the Duolingo server. (In the last case You have to know your Login-name/Login-mailadress and password!!!)

I figured out a mistake: You have set your daily workload to 50 XP, but often you only make 20 or 30 XP am Tag. Then it is better to set your daily workload to 10 XP!

That is not the problem as I always get the XP from completed lessons, even if the lesson itself is not registered as completed. So my daily goal has nothing to do with this issue.

Thank you for your suggestions, I will try mobile network instead of WiFi. The app is always up to date, so there should not be an issue here. Thank you and best regards Julian
