2nd day back!
can't remember how long it has been since first downloading this app. I have attempted about 2-4 times to keep consistent with this and have procrastinated several times. Today is my 2nd day here and I feel great. I am on a journey to become fluent in spanish. On several occasions I have had people who attempt to belittle me for not knowing spanish and I am going to prove to myself I can do it. I will be fluent in spanish.
Feel free to share your external resources, success stories, tips, and any other relevant info here. buenas suertes.
Good for you! I am nowhere near fluent in Spanish or French, but I can communicate in both, & that feels great, and every new level in Duolingo is a satisfying achievement. There are many external resources listed here in the forum, but personally I cannot do without http://www.studyspanish.com and http://www.wordreference.com . Enjoy the journey!
Congratulations! I am also quite new at Duolingo and Spanish, and I am only on day ten. Because of that, I don't have any sucess stories, but I do have some helpful resources and Spanish learning Websites.
One website like Duolingo that is also free is Livemocha. I like Duolingo better, but that could just be me. And if you want a good Spanish learning program, I recommend Rosetta Stone, even though it does cost money.
And as for other resources, I mostly just listen to Spanish songs and the Spanish alphabet. Spanish games are helpful as well. And, as you learn more, I recommend reading some books in Spanish. And, just a few days ago, I even wrote out a simple Spanish play. Those are just some other ways I practice. I don't really have any resources online besides Livemocha and Rosetta Stone though (and of course, Duolingo).
And I only have one tip: Don't give up, even if people say you cannot do it, because you can!
