Nui ke aʻo ma ke kula. (The learning at school is plenty) = There is a lot to learn at school.
Nui = many, plenty, a lot, great
Thank you. I didn't understand why we were using ke with learn, but this explains it.
Nui ke aʻo ma ke Duolingo.
I wrote Nui ke a'o i ke kula, and was marked incorrect.
nui ho'ike ma ke kula
aia nui ke a'o ma ke kula - what do you guys think?
Aia is location. In this sentence, "there is" refers to something happening, not a location. "Nui" includes the construction "there is" with "a lot, much, plenty." At best, "aia" would be redundant.
