  5. "Listen well."

"Listen well."

Translation:E hoʻolohe ka pepeiao.

June 25, 2019

E hoʻolohe ka pepeiao. [Obey the ear(s)] = Listen well.

I have verified now that "E ho'olohe i ka pepeiao" is wrong. Adding the "i" makes it wrong. I will test it next time to see if "E ho'olohe pono" is wrong or if "E ho'olohe pono ka pepeiao" is also wrong. But I still feel like it should have the "i".

I have verified that "E ho'olohe pono" is being accepted as correct.

It isn't. I just tried and it marked it wrong

"E ho'olohe pono i ka pepeiao" is wrong. Adding the "i" makes it wrong. This one will be hard because it feels like the "i" should be there. Or it could be wrong cause I added the "pono" which I thought was the "well" part of the sentence.

the "I" shouldn't be there in this sentence. With it in, it's saying more like "listen TO the ear."
