Great Video For Listening to Japanese and English. 字幕付き

This video is the story of Tiffany, a young African American Lady, who is attending college in Japan. This video tells her story, and is a great video to practice listening to people speak Japanese and English. Switching flawlessly.

There are English Sub-titles (字幕付き), so you can read as you listen to her story.

Japanese is My First Language | Born and Raised in Rural Japan to Black Parents

The Video is from a YouTube channel by Max D. Capo , a young half-Japanese man who makes videos about Japan. Covers Japanese language and culture from the perspective of a half-Japanese person.

Great addition to Doulingo Japanese course. Will help with your listening skills, and give some culture information. And it is also entertaining.

Hope you enjoy it.

I just watched that video yesterday, she's really impressive! I'd love to be friends with her hahaha.

It's not a whole lot of actual Japanese though and Max's accent is a bit off (+he struggles a bit forming sentences sometimes) so I wouldn't base any studying/practice on it really. But nevertheless it's a great watch, so go watch it if you haven't seen it.

Yeah, I still have a hard time hearing what speakers of Japanese are saying. My mother in law used to talk to me a lot, and I often could not understand what she was saying.

But I figure just like English, I just have to keep listening to people speak Japanese, until my ear gets tuned a bit better.

The sound files here on Doulingo give me the hardest times, I am always missing one sound or another.
