I'm just returning to Duolingo after a super-difficult year (lost both my parents), and I find that it has changed A LOT. I am a visual learner, and it is VERY challenging that Duolingo seems to have removed the "fundamental" visual lessons, i.e. 1) four-to-six vocabulary words with PICTURES that indicate what they are; 2) basic alphabet familiarization; and 3) basic noun-verb conjugation examples to get an idea of how the language operates...and the voice-recorder does NOT seem to recognize my CORRECT answers...I'm considering that Rosetta-Stone would better serve my learning style.
