Translation:Peru and Holland
They should definitely accept "The Netherlands" as an English translation, but I don't know any other name for the country in Arabic. And Germany is named after Alamannia, so same thing. But many countries are named after important regions in them in European languages, like Egypt, whose name probably comes from an Egyptian name of the Old Egyptian capital that the Greeks called Memphis. And Algeria, and Tunisia, and Morocco, all named after their capitals, historical or contemporary, as well. Egypt and Morocco are not named after their capitals in Arabic.
