Why is this not the heavy rain is amazing?

it can also be that. But in terms of meaning, the rain here is a 'definite type' of rain.

How would one know that? How do you know when there's a "the" and when there isn't?

both words (heavy and rain) have al- prefix, meaning they're definite

ثقيل İs nor really a common word to describe heavy rain in Arabic غزير İs normally used with rain/مطر

is this a reference to the video game "heavy rain"?

سبحان الله!

can you tell "the rain is heavy and amazing" as an answer for this?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/_FiX_

no.

To be honest it's a pretty bad choice for a sentence to begin with... no one would really say 'the heavy rain is excellent' or use this expression to express a torrential downpour, it isn't the same adjective in Arabic. 'heavy' is more literal in Arabic.

Would shadeed be a more appropriate adjective?

المطرُ الغزيرُ طيبٌ

المطرُ الغزيرُ خيرٌ

(the dense rain is very good)

Does it say "affaqiil" or "ashshaqiil"?

Never played it so can't really agree, most people say it's a good game though.

I'm confused by the _ being on the wrong side.
