I wrote من هذا الرجل and got it wrong, it told me I wrote هذا wrong

It wants you to write "هٰذا". Don't ask me why it requires that.

Interesting that the intonation is so different from the English one for a wh- question. Could a native Arab speaker please tell us if it sounds normal for the intonation to go up at the end of this sort of question? It's more like the English intonation for a yes-no question.

I don't in Arabic but in French the intonation always go up at the end of all the questions

Hello, a.gl3. Would you say that the French intonation is the same for open questions ie, ones starting with a question word (eg qui...? pourquoi...?) and closed questions, those without a question word (est-ce que...?).
